Qué campos pedimos, cómo cuenta cada función, qué avisos mostramos y qué límites calculamos, con la regla EASA de la que sale cada cosa. Si algo no te cuadra con lo que exige tu autoridad o tu operador, cuéntanoslo.
Which fields we ask for, how each pilot function counts, which warnings we show and which limits we compute — each with the EASA rule it comes from. If something doesn't match what your authority or operator requires, tell us.

§1
Principios
- La app informa, no certifica. Todo cálculo se basa en tus vuelos registrados y lleva al lado la regla de la que sale. No sustituye al sistema FTL de tu operador ni a lo que diga tu autoridad.
- Tu posición no cambia lo que es legal registrar. Solo decide qué campos se ven por defecto y cuáles se precargan. Cualquier campo se puede añadir en cualquier vuelo.
- Un campo con valor nunca se oculta, y un campo oculto nunca suma a tus totales ni bloquea el guardado.
- Los avisos no bloquean. Lo que falta o no cuadra se ve en el formulario mientras lo rellenas, sin popups, y el vuelo se guarda igualmente como Needs review o Incomplete para que lo completes cuando quieras. Vale para el alta manual y para los imports.
- La referencia es el Reglamento (UE) 1178/2011 (Part-FCL) y sus AMC/GM en la edición de noviembre de 2025 (ED Decision 2025/002/R), más el Reglamento (UE) 965/2012 para operaciones y FTL. Donde una autoridad nacional pide algo más (por ejemplo la IAA irlandesa), lo decimos.

Campos obligatorios de cada vuelo
AMC1 FCL.050 fija qué debe tener cada entrada del logbook. Estos son los que la app exige, y qué pasa si faltan:

Cómo cuenta cada función
El logbook EASA tiene cuatro columnas de función: PIC, co-pilot, dual e instructor. El resto son variantes que caen en una de ellas y se justifican en remarks.

El PDF suma PICUS y SPIC dentro de la columna PIC, como pide el formato EASA, y añade el desglose en remarks. En Stats verás además "PIC excl. PICUS", porque algunos operadores (Wizz Air, BA CityFlyer) no cuentan el PICUS para sus mínimos de comandante.

Avisos que mostramos
- PIC + PICUS + SPIC + solo + co-pilot + dual suman más que el block.
- Tiempo de instructor mayor que el PIC: el tiempo de instructor también se anota como PIC (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(8)(iii)).
- PICUS y co-pilot en el mismo vuelo: el tiempo anotado como PICUS no se anota además como co-pilot (IAA PLAM.024 §4, tiempo de co-pilot, «except when logged as PICUS»; AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(v)).
- SPIC sin instructor supervisor en la tripulación (FCL.010).
- Solo con co-pilot, dual o instructor en el mismo vuelo: solo significa único ocupante (FCL.010).
- Supernumerary o safety pilot con tiempo de vuelo: no es tiempo de vuelo salvo que tomaras los mandos (AMC1 FCL.050 (f)).
- Tiempo de instructor en un chequeo (skill test, proficiency o line check): un chequeo no es instrucción (AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(iv)).
- PICUS en un sector de command course: se anota como PIC, no PICUS (AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(vii)).
- Block anormalmente largo: suele ser una llegada anterior a la salida tecleada por error.

Contextos de vuelo
Un contexto describe un vuelo concreto sin cambiar tu posición. Rellena el remark que exige AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10) y activa sus avisos.

Firmas
- En un vuelo de línea normal, solo PICUS y SPIC exigen la firma de otro piloto (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10)(iii)). El copiloto no necesita la firma del comandante en sus sectores ordinarios.
- EASA pide en la contrafirma el nombre y la firma del PIC o instructor (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10)(iii)). Si tu licencia la emite la IAA, la certificación debe incluir además el nombre impreso y el nº de licencia del PIC (PLAM.024 Rev. 01, §4.2). El nº de licencia es opcional en la app: si lo introduces, se imprime junto a la firma en el PDF.
- La firma que capturas en el móvil es una firma electrónica simple en el sentido del Reglamento eIDAS (UE 910/2014): vale como evidencia, pero no todas las autoridades la aceptan. La IAA, por ejemplo, dice en su página de la ATPL que para acreditar horas PICUS no acepta firmas electrónicas («Electronic signatures are NOT accepted»): el comandante debe contrafirmar en el logbook. Si una fila PICUS/SPIC no tiene firma capturada, el PDF deja en ella una línea para firmar a mano con nombre y nº de licencia; si tu autoridad no acepta firma electrónica, no la captures y haz que firmen a mano sobre el PDF impreso.
- Mientras un vuelo con PICUS o SPIC no tenga contrafirma, la sección de firma lo marca como pendiente y Stats separa esas horas. Tu propia firma (la de "Sign flights") certifica tus vuelos, pero no cuenta como contrafirma.
- Algunas autoridades (UK CAA, AESA, Austro Control) aceptan en su lugar una carta del operador que certifica tu PICUS. Puedes guardarla como documento y cubre los vuelos PICUS de su periodo.

§7
Horas para licencias
- ATPL(A), requisito de mando (FCL.510.A(b)(2)): 500 h de PICUS, o 250 h de PIC, o 250 h con al menos 70 de PIC y el resto PICUS. Además, 200 h de cross-country, de ellas al menos 100 como PIC o PICUS (FCL.510.A(b)(3)).
- El tiempo de co-pilot y de PICUS cuenta entero para el tiempo total de una licencia superior (FCL.035(a)(3)).
- SPIC en cursos integrados (Apéndice 3): de las 70 h de PIC, hasta 55 pueden ser SPIC, y el SPIC instrumental solo cuenta como PIC hasta 20 h.
- El PICUS sin firmar no cuenta para una licencia ante la IAA (FAQ LBQ.4). En Stats lo verás separado como "pendiente de firma".

Lo que todavía no modelamos
- Solo aviones. Planeadores (Part-SFCL) y globos (Part-BFCL) tienen sus propias reglas de logbook y no están cubiertos. Helicópteros tampoco por ahora.
- Revalidación de instructores y examinadores (en estudio). Por ejemplo: SFI, 50 h como instructor o examinador en FSTD en su periodo de validez, 15 de ellas en los últimos 12 meses (FCL.940.SFI); TRI(A), una sesión de simulador de 3 h o un vuelo de 1 h en un curso de tipo (FCL.940.TRI); examinador, 6 tests o chequeos en los 3 años del certificado (FCL.1025). Las horas como examinador cuentan para revalidar cualquier certificado de instructor (FCL.915(c)(2)).
- Limitaciones médicas o de edad que obligan a volar con otro piloto cualificado (OML, FCL.065).
- Diferencias nacionales más allá de las que citamos. Si tu autoridad pide algo distinto, avísanos.

Principles
- The app informs, it doesn't certify. Every figure is based on the flights you've logged and shows the rule it comes from. It doesn't replace your operator's FTL system or your authority.
- Your position doesn't change what's legal to log. It only decides which fields show by default and which are prefilled. Any field can be added to any flight.
- A field with a value is never hidden, and a hidden field never adds to your totals or blocks saving.
- Warnings never block. What's missing or doesn't add up shows in the form as you fill it in, with no popups, and the flight is saved anyway, marked Needs review or Incomplete so you can finish it later. This applies to manual entry and to imports.
- Our basis is Regulation (EU) 1178/2011 (Part-FCL) and its AMC/GM as of November 2025 (ED Decision 2025/002/R), plus Regulation (EU) 965/2012 for operations and FTL. Where a national authority asks for more (for example the Irish IAA), we say so.

How each function counts
The EASA logbook has four function columns: PIC, co-pilot, dual and instructor. Everything else is a variant that falls into one of them and is explained in remarks.

The PDF adds PICUS and SPIC into the PIC column, as the EASA format requires, and lists the breakdown in remarks. Stats also shows "PIC excl. PICUS", because some operators (Wizz Air, BA CityFlyer) don't count PICUS towards their captain minimums.

Warnings we show
- PIC + PICUS + SPIC + solo + co-pilot + dual add up to more than block time.
- Instructor time above PIC time: instructor time is also logged as PIC (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(8)(iii)).
- PICUS and co-pilot on the same flight: time logged as PICUS isn't also logged as co-pilot (IAA PLAM.024 §4, co-pilot flight time, "except when logged as PICUS"; AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(v)).
- SPIC without a supervising instructor in the crew (FCL.010).
- Solo with co-pilot, dual or instructor time on the same flight: solo means sole occupant (FCL.010).
- Supernumerary or safety pilot with flight time: not flight time unless you took the controls (AMC1 FCL.050 (f)).
- Instructor time on a check (skill test, proficiency or line check): a check isn't instruction (AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(iv)).
- PICUS on a command course sector: it's logged as PIC, not PICUS (AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(vii)).
- Unusually long block time: usually an arrival typed before the departure by mistake.

Flight contexts
A context describes one flight without changing your position. It fills in the remark AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10) requires and turns on its warnings.

Signatures
- On a normal line flight, only PICUS and SPIC need another pilot's signature (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10)(iii)). A co-pilot doesn't need the captain's signature on ordinary sectors.
- EASA asks for the PIC's or instructor's name and signature on the countersignature (AMC1 FCL.050 (i)(10)(iii)). If your licence is issued by the IAA, the certification must also include the PIC's printed name and licence number (PLAM.024 Rev. 01, §4.2). The licence number is optional in the app: if you enter it, it prints next to the signature on the PDF.
- The signature you capture on your phone is a simple electronic signature under the eIDAS Regulation (EU 910/2014): it's evidence, but not every authority accepts it. The IAA, for example, says on its ATPL page that for PICUS hours electronic signatures are not accepted ("Electronic signatures are NOT accepted"): the captain has to countersign in the logbook. When a PICUS/SPIC row has no captured signature, the PDF leaves a line on it for a handwritten signature with name and licence number; if your authority doesn't accept electronic signatures, don't capture one and have the captain sign the printed PDF by hand.
- Until a PICUS or SPIC flight has a countersignature, the signature section marks it pending and Stats keeps those hours apart. Your own signature (from "Sign flights") certifies your flights but doesn't count as a countersignature.
- Some authorities (UK CAA, AESA, Austro Control) accept an operator letter certifying your PICUS instead. You can save it as a document and it covers the PICUS flights in its period.

§7
Hours for licences
- ATPL(A) command requirement (FCL.510.A(b)(2)): 500 h PICUS, or 250 h PIC, or 250 h including at least 70 h PIC and the rest PICUS. Plus 200 h cross-country, at least 100 of them as PIC or PICUS (FCL.510.A(b)(3)).
- Co-pilot and PICUS time count in full towards the total time for a higher licence (FCL.035(a)(3)).
- SPIC on integrated courses (Appendix 3): of the 70 h PIC, up to 55 may be SPIC, and instrument SPIC counts as PIC only up to 20 h.
- Unsigned PICUS doesn't count for a licence with the IAA (FAQ LBQ.4). Stats shows it separately as "awaiting signature".

What we don't model yet
- Aeroplanes only. Sailplanes (Part-SFCL) and balloons (Part-BFCL) have their own logbook rules and aren't covered. Neither are helicopters for now.
- Instructor and examiner revalidation (under study). For example: SFI, 50 h as instructor or examiner in FSTDs within the validity period, 15 of them in the last 12 months (FCL.940.SFI); TRI(A), a 3 h simulator session or a 1 h flight on a type rating course (FCL.940.TRI); examiner, 6 tests or checks within the certificate's 3 years (FCL.1025). Hours as examiner count towards revalidating any instructor certificate (FCL.915(c)(2)).
- Medical or age limitations that require flying with another qualified pilot (OML, FCL.065).
- National differences beyond the ones we cite. If your authority asks for something different, let us know.

If a rule is wrong, missing, or your authority or operator does it differently, write to us with the reference (for example "AMC1 FCL.050 (b)(1)(v)" or your operator's document). We check it against the source and update the app and this page.
